Duties and Responsibilities:
· Create CMM inspection programs using PC-DMIS software, including set-up instructions.
· Perform in-process and final dimensional inspection using CMM and conventional inspection methods.
· Create First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) including recording results on AS9102 forms.
· Prepare detailed inspection documentation such as written descriptions of inspection results including deviations from
engineering specifications.
· Assist engineers with qualification and validation of new or changed tooling or parts.
· Analyze problem parts and suggest potential root case and corrective/preventive actions
· Initiate Non-Conformance Reports
· Generate ideas and suggestions for reducing inspection turnaround time.
· Performance shall be within the guidelines of the company’s policies and procedures
· High school diploma or GED or equivalent; at least one (3) years of related experience and/or training;
· Working knowledge of Coordinate Measuring Machines with DCC controls
· Familiarity with PC DMIS v2010
· ISO9001 experience preferred
· Proficient blueprint GD&T and shop math skills
· Experience in inspection of parts to customer drawings and specification
· Working knowledge of inspection gages (i.e. calipers, micrometers, bore gages, height gages, air gages, radius gages, etc.)
· Knowledge of customer engineering specifications
· Ability to read, interpret, and apply customer defined standards and specifications
· Ability to learn quickly, adapt, and apply knowledge in a fast-paced environment
· Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime as necessary to meet customer expectations
· Good verbal and written communication skills, and ability to read and write English
· Willingness to question anything that doesn’t make sense or may be in error
· Contribute feedback to improve quality and on time delivery
